ZIPLIGHT BATTERY CHANGE
MODIFIED ZIPLIGHT INSERT

1. With a case opener or  a preferably dull knife blade, carefully pry open the ZipLight's casing along its seams.  Be             prepared for a few springloaded parts to go airborne. See the second picture below for the springloaded components         (metal toggle lever and     pin, red plastic spring retainer, spring). I suggest you cup your hand over the ZipLight while     pulling the two halves of the casing apart. I am not responsible if you shoot your or anybody else's eye out!

2. Remove the old battery (batteries) from the coin cell holder.  A toothpick or similar item can be used to aid  battery           removal. Note the convenient notch marked with a yellow arrow in the picture below. Slip the new battery (batteries)       into the coin cell hoder. "+" must face up on all coin cells (coin cells are connected "in series")!

3. Make sure the metal tab ( + contact) on top of the battery holder makes good contact with the new battery (batteries).       The batteries must not be loose or rattle around in the coin cell holder., and you may have to bend the metal tab on top     of the coin cell holder a little down before inserting the new batteries to ensure a good elctric connection.
